About Childhood Hero Appeal

Childhood Hero is a national fundraising appeal that recognises the great need for all Australians to act collaboratively to prevent child abuse and support children who have been traumatised by abuse and family violence. Childhood Hero achieves its aim by celebrating the fun, innocence and importance of childhood. It promotes the idea that everyday heroes can make a world of difference to children because they make them feel special, loved and cared for.

Childhood Hero is the public fundraising initiative of the Australian Childhood Foundation, one of Australia's leading child-abuse prevention organisations.

In 2007, our national appeal will run during the month of June. It will feature a comprehensive awareness campaign; schools program; fundraising events; research, and a donation line 1800 176 453. In the meantime, there are a number of ways that you can support Childhood Hero.
